Q. How does the service work?
A. A digital image and caption is emailed to us: editor@FeaturePhoto.com. Our editor will fill in the IPTC codes, size and
caption the photo for distribution. Please "Submit a Photo" on the tool bar for instructions on how to send a photo to us.
Q. Where is my photo distributed?
A. FPW puts your photos where the editors are looking. Your high-resolution images are distributed via (FPS*) to the following:
- AP Photo Express
- Posting on NewsCom.com
Q. Do you guarantee that the photo will be published?
A. No. There are no guarantees that a photo will be published. Placement of a photo is up to the discretion of the individual
editors.
Q. Do you provide a report to track photo placement?
A. No. You should retain a clipping service to provide you with this information.
Q. What kind of photos do you distribute?
A. FPW distributes business, entertainment, event, sports, products, logos and portraits.
Q. Will I get "photo credit" for my photo?
A. We make every effort to include the photographers name along with the photo for proper photo credit when given or unless
otherwise requested. FPS/FPW or related entities does not take responsibility for how or whether or to whom photo credit is
given.
Q. My client has a press release - can I reference the image to the release?
A. Yes. Please tell us who is distributing your clients release and we will cross reference the photo to the release on any
commercial newswire service. We will be offering press release distribution services in the near future.
Q. Is there a fee to join your service?
A. No. You pay for the service as you use it. Again, you must be a professional photographer to use our service. If you
are not a photographer and wish to distribute a photo through our service please tell your photographer about FPW and have
her/him contact us.
Q.Does the media pay to use images distributed by your company?
A. Photos distributed by our service are available at no charge to the media for editorial/publicity use only. We are not
a stock agency. Resale of images is prohibited. (See disclaimer page.)
Q. Do you offer discounts for professional photographers?
A. Yes. This service is available to professional photographers at a discounted rate. We publish list pricing only. We do
not publish the discounted rate on the web. Professional photographers should contact us for more information on our discount
and referral program.
